## About the Role We're looking for an engineer who enjoys building things properly — not just maintaining what's already there. In this role, you'll take ownership of how our environments are created, deployed, and operated. That includes everything from automated pipelines through to cloud infrastructure and container platforms. You'll be working across lab, pre-production, and production setups, helping teams deliver and validate complex systems in a reliable, repeatable way. ## What You'll Be Working On ### Delivery & Automation - Create and evolve pipelines that handle build, test, deployment, and validation - Embed automated testing into the delivery process - Improve release processes with proper controls, rollback options, and visibility - git knowledge - CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions - Automated deployments, testing, and release pipelines - Configuration management (e.g. Ansible) ### Infrastructure & Environments - Define and manage infrastructure using code-based approaches - Support multiple environments (lab, staging, production) with consistency - Automate environment setup and teardown to reduce manual effort ### Cloud Platform - Work with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) - Linux system administration knowledge - Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes - Ensure environments are scalable, stable, and easy to reproduce - Infrastructure as Code (any tool, e.g. Terraform, Jenkins, ...) ### Systems Integration - Support complex, integrated platforms with multiple dependencies - Help enable realistic test environments and data flows - Work closely with engineering and testing teams to improve delivery quality ### Security & Reliability - Handle secrets and access securely - Build systems with resilience and monitoring in mind - Contribute to improving stability and observability across environments - Secrets & key management (Azure Key Vault, AWS KMS, HashiCorp Vault) ## What We'd Like to See ### Core Experience - Strong experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines - Practical use of Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform or similar) - Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider - Experience working with containers and orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) - Confident working in Linux environments with scripting (Bash/Python) ### Useful (but not essential) - Exposure to large-scale or high-availability systems - Experience with performance or load testing setups - Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools - Experience working alongside QA or test automation teams ## Additional Role Context The CD3 Pipeline Consultant shall be responsible for the onboarding and deployment of network functions (CNFs) to a Telecom Network Cloud platform. The role shall act as an interface between tenant organizations and platform teams, executing onboarding activities, troubleshooting deployments, and addressing gaps in automation. The scope of responsibilities includes CNF onboarding, deployment via CD3 pipelines, coordination with Network Cloud platform teams, and lifecycle management (LCM) support.
