Responsibilities
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, boilers, air handlers, VAV systems, exhaust fans, and associated controls; Perform preventive maintenance on all HVAC equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and facility schedules; Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related faults using appropriate test equipment; Safely handle, recover, and recharge refrigerants in compliance with EPA Section 608 regulations; Read and interpret HVAC schematics, equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings; Inspect, clean, and service ductwork, coils, filters, drains, belts, and other components; Apply and enforce proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and all applicable OSHA safety standards; Coordinate with facilities leadership, contractors, and project managers to support maintenance schedules, capital projects, and new equipment commissioning activities; Document all work performed including maintenance logs, service records, and parts usage in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
