Power Transmission and Distribution Superintendent

## About the role - Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma or Electrical Engineering degree. - Electrical trade certification as 309A or 442A. - Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation would be considered an asset. - Powerline Technician or Protection and Control certifications would also be an asset. - 8-10 years of progressive experience in electrical maintenance and operations, including high-voltage power systems and utility-scale electrical infrastructure. - 5+ years of leadership experience managing maintenance personnel, contractors, and multidisciplinary technical teams. - Strong technical expertise in high-voltage substations, transmission and distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, protection and control systems, and power system operations. - Proven experience in maintenance execution, work management, asset reliability, continuous improvement, and root cause failure analysis. - Comprehensive knowledge of electrical safety regulations, electrical codes, mining regulations, power system protection, testing, condition monitoring, and industry best practices. - Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills. - Strong knowledge of maintenance, asset management, and operational excellence principles. - Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities in high-risk and fast-paced operational environments. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. - Experience managing unionized workforces, contractors, and external service providers. - Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
