Technical Co-Founder

## About the role Most engineers spend years building products they don't own. This is an opportunity to help build one you do. We're looking for a Technical Co-Founder to take ownership of the mobile product and become a founding member of a startup preparing for launch. If you're the type of engineer who enjoys building, shipping, solving hard problems, and having a real voice in the direction of a company, this role was designed for you. ## Why This Opportunity Is Different Many startups recruit technical co-founders when all they have is an idea. We're past that stage. - MVP is approximately 90% complete - Core product architecture already exists - Initial channel partnerships are already secured This means you'll spend less time building from scratch and more time making critical decisions that shape the product, technology, and future of the company. You'll join at the point where your contributions can immediately create leverage. ## What You'll Own As Technical Co-Founder, you'll have full ownership of mobile engineering. You'll be responsible for: - Driving the future development of the mobile application - Making architecture and technical design decisions - Shipping new features and product improvements - Working directly with the founder on product strategy - Improving scalability, reliability, and performance - Establishing engineering standards and best practices - Helping build and lead the future engineering team This is not a role where you're handed a backlog and asked to execute. You'll be a decision-maker with meaningful influence over what gets built and how it gets built. ## Who We're Looking For You may be a perfect fit if you: - Have experience building and shipping mobile applications - Know Flutter/Dart or can quickly transfer experience from React Native, React, TypeScript, Swift, Kotlin, or similar technologies - Enjoy ownership and autonomy - Have strong product instincts and care about user experience - Can make decisions without needing constant direction - Want to help build a company, not just contribute code - Are excited by startup environments and rapid iteration You do not need previous founder experience. You do not need to quit your current job immediately. You do not need to have every skill listed above. We're looking for someone with strong technical ability, a builder mentality, and genuine excitement about creating something meaningful. ## What Success Looks Like Over the next 12 months, you'll help: - Launch the product - Grow the user base - Scale the technology platform - Shape the engineering culture - Build the foundation for a category-defining company The right person won't just write code. They'll help create the product, company, and technical vision that powers it. ## Compensation This is a founder-level equity opportunity. - Meaningful co-founder equity - Standard 4-year vesting with a 1-year cliff - No salary initially - Flexible participation while employed elsewhere - Salary introduced as traction and fundraising milestones are achieved This role is best suited for someone who can take founder-level risk in exchange for founder-level upside.
