QA Engineer I

We are a fast-growing startup focused on speed, accessibility, trust, and real-time human connection. ## About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly motivated QA Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing practices across web applications and APIs. We are looking for someone with a startup mindset — someone who learns quickly, adapts fast, takes ownership, solves problems proactively, and grows together with the company. ## Responsibilities - Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases - Perform manual, functional, smoke, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing - Build and maintain automated tests using Playwright or Cypress - Execute Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, API and End-to-End testing - Perform basic load and performance testing using k6 - Validate key user journeys of application - Perform basic security testing for authentication, authorization, role access, and input validation - Perform cross-browser and mobile web testing - Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs using JIRA or similar tools - Work closely with developers and product teams to reproduce, verify, and close issues - Support release testing, staging validation, and post-deployment smoke testing - Continuously improve QA processes and test coverage ## Required Skills - Manual and automation testing - Functional, smoke, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing - Playwright or Cypress - Postman for API testing - k6 for basic performance testing - Basic security testing experience - JIRA or similar bug-tracking tool - Git and GitHub basics - SQL basics for data validation - Browser developer tools - Basic understanding of REST APIs - Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum ## Preferred Qualifications - Startup Growth Mindset: We are looking for candidates who: - Take ownership and accountability - Learn quickly and adapt rapidly - Thrive in fast-moving startup environments - Solve problems proactively - Move fast while maintaining quality - Work independently with minimal supervision - Think beyond assigned responsibilities - Have strong execution capability - Want to build and grow together long term - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field - Experience working in startup or product environments - Strong communication and collaboration skills ## What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes ownership, learns quickly, solves problems proactively, works independently, communicates clearly, and wants to grow with the company long term. ## Why Join Jobrooms - Work on a unique real-time global platform - High ownership and direct product impact - Fast learning and growth environment - Opportunity to shape QA processes from an early stage - Collaborative startup culture
