## About the role We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and resourceful engineer to join the EarnIn payroll services team. As a Backend Engineer, you will work cross-functionally with various teams and contribute to the design and development of our backend services. This is a remote position that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic, fast-paced fintech environment. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $95,482-$116,700, plus equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship or immigration support for this position. ## Responsibilities - Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications. - Analyze complex technical problems and propose effective solutions. - Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team by leveraging a broad skill set. - Implement secure coding practices and adhere to regulatory standards. - Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to best practices, maintainability, and alignment with project requirements, while providing constructive feedback to team members. - Ensure the delivery of high-quality software features within established timelines. ## Requirements - 2+ years of development experience in a fast-paced environment. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience. - Proficient in C++ (C++ 14 and up). - Understanding of COM fundamentals and experience integrating COM components with other technologies (e.g., .NET Interop or scripting languages like VBScript or JavaScript). - Familiarity with Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC) - Hands-on experience working with Microsoft SQL Server - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have a bias towards action and results. - Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar tools) as part of your software development workflow #LI-Remote
