Senior TypeScript Engineer

## About the role A fast-growing company is hiring a Senior TypeScript Engineer to become a foundational member of its first internal product engineering team. This person will help shape the technical architecture, engineering culture, and development standards as the company transitions away from external agencies. In this high-ownership role, you'll work hands-on across the codebase, lead with engineering best practices, and leverage advanced AI-assisted workflows to accelerate high-quality delivery. It's a collaborative, impact-driven opportunity to help define the future of both the platform and the engineering organization. ## Requirements - Strong professional experience working with TypeScript in a senior or lead capacity. - Significant senior-level engineering experience, ideally within product-led or fast-paced startup environments. - Ability to work hands-on across the codebase while simultaneously influencing long-term architecture and standards. - Possession of a strong ownership mindset accompanied by excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Proven track record of helping teams improve technical quality, delivery practices, and general engineering culture. - Genuine interest or prior experience in exploring and implementing AI-assisted software development workflows. - Comfortable and able to work from the Brighton office location at least three days per week. ## Nice-to-Haves - Experience in a founding engineer, early team, or high-ownership role during a company's initial growth phase. - Direct experience with modern web and product engineering stacks in a production environment. - Exposure to system architecture, technical leadership roles, or mentoring junior engineering talent. - Experience evaluating or implementing advanced AI tools and workflows within an engineering department. - Familiarity with the .NET ecosystem is considered helpful but is not a requirement for this role. ## Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a senior, hands-on engineer who thrives in high-ownership environments and is excited about building a technical foundation from the ground up.
