## About the Company SwitchOn is a Bangalore-based deep-tech company on a mission to eliminate manufacturing defects with AI-powered vision inspection systems. Our platform, DeepInspect, is deployed on factory floors across India, Europe, and Southeast Asia, serving industry leaders such as Unilever, P&G, ITC, Maruti, and Bosch. We are Series B funded and scaling rapidly across geographies and verticals. ## About the Role We are seeking an experienced Finance Controller to own and lead all financial operations at SwitchOn. This is a foundational leadership role -- you will be the first dedicated finance leader on the ground, reporting directly to the Co-Founders. You will build the financial infrastructure that supports our next phase of growth: international expansion, increasing revenue complexity, and accountability to institutional investors. You will not just report numbers -- you will help us understand them, act on them, and build the systems to scale with us. ## Key Responsibilities - Own end-to-end financial reporting: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and MIS across India and international entities. - Lead statutory compliance across India, US, and EU jurisdictions -- including tax filings, transfer pricing, and regulatory submissions. - Build and manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in close collaboration with business leads. - Drive accounts receivable and payable discipline, with a focus on working capital optimization. - Manage relationships with auditors, banks, investors, and legal/secretarial partners (CA firms, CS firms). - Own investor reporting -- board packs, quarterly updates, and ad hoc financial requests from institutional investors. - Build scalable finance systems and processes -- ERP implementation, expense management, internal controls, and audit readiness. - Support future fundraises, M&A activity, and due diligence processes as the business scales. ## Requirements - A CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification is mandatory. - 6+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally including time at a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm and a high-growth startup. - Strong command of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and working knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS. - Hands-on experience with multi-entity and multi-currency financial consolidation. - Familiarity with SaaS or technology business models, including revenue recognition and deferred revenue. - Experience managing statutory audits and liaising with regulatory authorities (MCA, RBI, Income Tax). - Prior exposure to investor reporting and fundraising due diligence is a strong plus. - Excellent communication skills -- able to translate complex financials for non-finance stakeholders. - High integrity, attention to detail, and a bias for building systems rather than firefighting. ## Why Join Us - SwitchOn just closed its Series B and is entering its most ambitious phase -- new geographies, new verticals, and a growing institutional investor base. You will be building the finance function from the ground up at exactly the right moment. - You will work directly with the Co-Founders and have a seat at the table on every major business decision. This is not a back-office role -- it is a strategic one. - Our customers run some of the most complex manufacturing operations in the world. The financial complexity you will manage reflects that ambition. - Meaningful ESOP participation at a post-Series B stage, with a clear path to CFO as the company scales.
