Full Stack Engineer (Frontend Focus) - Fully Remote USD - Latin America

## About the role This role is FULLY REMOTE from Latin America - Pacific Time zone We are looking for a talented software engineer to help us build and scale our image capture and analysis platform. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the software across our edge devices, on-premise and cloud servers, and customer-facing web applications. ## About the company Hey, we're Glacier! Glacier builds custom sorting robots designed to sort apart recyclables as well as AI-powered business analytics that enable recyclers to superpower their plants and improve our society's circularity. Our technology has been recognized as one of TIME's Best Inventions and featured in a TIME documentary, TechCrunch, Fortune, and CBS. ## Responsibilities - Design and improve the user interfaces that customers use in our web application. - Develop and maintain software for our edge devices, server infrastructure, and web applications. - Build and improve the APIs connecting our system components (edge, server, web). - Implement, manage, and optimize data processing and machine learning inference pipelines on our servers. - Troubleshoot problems across the hardware/software stack, from edge devices through the server to the web frontend. - Collaborate with the team to design new features and solve technical challenges. ## Requirements - 3+ years of work experience with relevant programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript and React for frontend, Python for backend/edge) - 1+ years developing or consuming APIs (e.g., RESTful APIs). - Solid experience building frontend applications with React or typescript - Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities. - English Proficiency as you will be working with a US based team (C1 or higher) ## Nice to have - Cloud platforms (AWS) - Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) - Database systems (SQL or NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch). - Experience working with US companies or clients is a plus ## What we offer ### Compensation & Benefits - $2,000-$4,500 USD per month/depending on your location and skills/experience - 15 Days Paid Time Off + your National Holidays - $500 for your remote set up + $100/mo for your wellness ### Why Join Us? - Mission-Driven Work – Be part of a company dedicated to sustainability and ending waste. - Cross-Functional Impact – Work closely with product, engineering, field operations, and customer success to solve complex problems with meaningful outcomes. - Backed to Succeed – Our founders bring experience from Facebook and Bain, and we're supported by top-tier investors with deep technical and industry expertise.
