Frontend Engineer (React / TypeScript)

## About the Role This is a true early-stage startup role for someone excited about building meaningful technology with real-world impact. You'll work closely with the founder, product designers, backend engineers, and AI engineers to create a seamless, intuitive experience for drivers using the Vedoc platform. If you enjoy ownership, solving complex problems, and helping build a company from the ground floor, this role offers a chance to make a meaningful contribution and earn significant upside. ## What You'll Build You will lead development of the web and mobile frontend experiences that power the Vedoc platform. ## How You'll Contribute to Vedoc - Drive technical excellence by identifying and reducing technical debt, establishing best practices, and implementing architectural improvements. - Collaborate closely with the product and design team to deliver a world-class user experience. - Work with the AI engineering team to ensure smooth integration of intelligent features and agents. - Build scalable, maintainable frontend architecture using modern JavaScript and TypeScript. - Optimize application performance across devices and browsers. - Help shape engineering standards, workflows, and development processes. - Participate in product discussions and contribute ideas that improve usability and business outcomes. ## Qualifications - 3+ years of frontend development experience with JavaScript and TypeScript. - Strong experience with React (React Native experience is a major plus). - Deep understanding of modern web application architecture. - Strong algorithmic and problem-solving skills. - Experience with authentication and security best practices. - Familiarity with REST APIs and real-time data flows. - Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) or AI-powered features is a plus. - Ability to work independently in a fast-moving startup environment. - Strong written and verbal English communication skills. ## Nice to Have - React Native experience. - Experience with AWS-based deployments. - Startup experience. - Interest in automotive technology, logistics, or AI. ## Tech Stack - React / TypeScript - React Native - Ruby on Rails APIs - PostgreSQL - AWS - Stripe - AI/LLM integrations ## Compensation This is a sweat equity role.
