Founding Product Designer & Strategist For Revolutionary Startup Mobile Friendship App (Part Time)

## About the Role We are looking for a creative, semi-technical Product Designer to help shape the future of a new friendship network mobile app. In this role, you will be the glue between high-level product vision and technical execution. You will be responsible for defining how users connect and engage, designing the visual interface, and translating those concepts into actionable product requirements for our engineering team. As an early hire, you will have a massive influence on the product's DNA, moving seamlessly from innovative brainstorming and ideation to polishing high-fidelity prototypes and refining developer tickets. ## Responsibilities - Product Strategy: Design compelling user flows and "hooks" that foster genuine human connection within a mobile environment. - UI/UX Design: Build and maintain mockups, interactive prototypes, and a scalable design system in Figma. - Technical Bridging: Translate design concepts into detailed user stories and actionable tickets (acceptance criteria, edge cases, and asset delivery). - Iteration: Work closely with engineering to ensure design feasibility and participate in QA to ensure the final build matches the vision. ## Requirements - Full-Stack Design: Proficiency in Figma, including advanced prototyping, auto-layout, and component architecture. - Systems Thinking: Ability to map out complex social graphs and notification logic through clear user stories and flowcharts. - Semi-Technical Literacy: Understanding of mobile development constraints (iOS/Android), API structures, and how data moves between the frontend and backend. - Agile Proficiency: Experience writing clear, concise developer tickets (Jira) that minimize back-and-forth. - Startup Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of pivoting quickly based on user feedback or technical constraints. - Experience: A proven track record of shipping functional, user-centric mobile applications. ## What We Offer - Make a tangible impact by helping build a product and company from the ground up. - Collaborate closely with a passionate founding team in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. - Grow your career into a leadership role as we expand. - Shape the technical future of a meaningful product while gaining significant equity upside.
