Founding Engineer

## About the role Dokploy is one of the world's most popular open-source PaaS platforms, with 33k+ GitHub stars. We are a fast growing company, serving over 1200 paying customers worldwide. We are looking for our founding engineer to work directly with the CEO. ## Skills - TypeScript/Node.js/Golang depth - Kubernetes/Docker Swarm/Docker Compose expertise - Prior experience building auth/security features for multi-tenant systems - Enjoys interacting with customers on a regular basis ## Responsibilities - Work directly with the founder to architect and ship features across the full stack (TypeScript, tRPC, Next.js, Docker, Traefik) - Write clean, well-documented code and contribute to internal engineering standards as the team grows - Join sales calls when needed - Help with customer support - Help with developer relations. Working in Discord and other online forums to interact with the community and ensure positive experiences for our users. - Improve platform reliability: high availability, multi-node failover, observability, and incident response - Own the deployment pipeline and background job infrastructure (BullMQ, Redis) for stability at scale - Design and build enterprise-grade features including fine-grained RBAC, audit logging, SSO/SAML integrations, and compliance tooling - Lead Kubernetes support — designing how Dokploy deploys onto and manages K8s clusters for enterprise customers ## Open Source Background - Has contributed to relevant open source projects — merged PRs, active issues, or own projects with GitHub traction - Understands OSS community dynamics: how to balance open vs. proprietary, communicate with contributors, and work in public - prior experience with infra/DevOps OSS projects (Dokploy, Coolify, CapRover, Portainer, or similar)
