## About the role Working closely with data scientists, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, the Senior Specialist ensures that data solutions are performant, scalable, and aligned with enterprise data governance standards. ## Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models across: * Develop models optimized for reporting, analytics, and AI/ML use cases * Design models supporting drill-down, drill-through, and self-service analytics * Ensure models are high-performing, fault-tolerant, and aligned with governance standards * Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines using: * Automate workflows and reduce operational overhead * Work within Azure environments (resource groups, storage, compute, services) * Design and develop Power BI semantic models for enterprise reporting and self-service analytics * Build and optimize dashboards, reports, and visualizations * Ensure consistency, accuracy, and performance of reporting datasets * Enable business users through governed and performant semantic layers * Prepare and structure data for AI/ML and advanced analytics use cases * Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers on model-ready datasets * Support use cases such as predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and optimization * Ensure data pipelines and models are AI-ready and scalable * Support knowledge sharing, training, and adoption * Contribute to data platform maturity and continuous improvement initiatives ## In This Role, You Will * **End-to-End Data Solution Development** * Own and deliver the full data lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, modeling, and delivery * Build and manage end-to-end data pipelines from source systems to reporting and semantic layers * Design and implement scalable, reusable, and production-grade data solutions * Support multi-domain data platforms and enterprise data assets * Act as a trusted advisor on data modeling, platforms, and best practice * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Data & AI, and business stakeholders * Guide power users in self-service analytics and governance best practices * Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security policies * Evaluate vendor solutions and support implementation and delivery ## About us You are a modern, hands-on data modeler and builder with deep expertise in Microsoft and Azure data platforms. You are comfortable owning the full lifecycle of data solutions—from raw data ingestion to transformation, modeling, and delivery into semantic layers and reporting tools. You bring strong technical proficiency in SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and ETL frameworks, with proven experience building end-to-end pipelines, scalable data models, and Power BI semantic layers. You thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where you can design and implement solutions—not just define them. You are equally comfortable working with engineers, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into performant, governed, and scalable data solutions. You are passionate about enabling self-service analytics, AI/ML readiness, and high-quality data products. ## Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related field * Microsoft Azure Certifications * Azure Data Factory / Databricks Certifications * Data Engineering / Data Modeling Certifications * Power BI / Data Visualization Certifications * AI / Machine Learning Certifications * Certified Data Management Professional (DAMA) * 8-10+ years in data modeling, data engineering, or analytics * Strong hands-on experience with: * SQL Server * Azure Data Factory * Databricks * Power BI * ETL/ELT frameworks * Proven experience building end-to-end data pipelines, models, and semantic layers * Experience working within Azure environments (compute, storage, services) * Experience supporting BI, analytics, and AI/ML use cases * Strong experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments * Advanced data modeling and data engineering expertise * Strong SQL and data transformation skills (Python preferred) * Deep understanding of Azure data architecture and cloud platforms * Experience with Power BI semantic modeling and visualization * Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security practices * Ability to design scalable, high-performance data solutions * Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills * Ability to work in agile, fast-paced environments ## What we offer * Support knowledge sharing, training, and adoption * Contribute to data platform maturity and continuous improvement initiatives
