Responsibilities
Apply DoDD 5000 Series guidance and AFMC/AFLCMC engineering policies to acquisition engineering activities; Develop, analyze, and manage system and subsystem requirements; Conduct technical planning, trade studies, system integration assessments, and risk analyses; Review engineering designs, specifications, technical data packages, and change proposals; Develop engineering artifacts supporting systems integration, OSS&E, airworthiness certification, system safety, and lifecycle systems engineering activities; Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), working groups, and program reviews; Support airworthiness, certification, verification, validation, configuration management, interface management, and requirements traceability activities; Provide expertise in maintenance systems integration, diagnostics, design-for-test, electronic support equipment, and sustainment engineering; Coordinate with government, industry, laboratory, and academic stakeholders to support technology assessments, integration efforts, and capability modernization initiatives; Support the development and sustainment of training systems, modeling, and simulation environments
