## About the role Seagull Maritime is seeking an experienced Financial Director with a strong background in the maritime, shipping, logistics, and Private Maritime Security Company (PMSC) sectors. The role is responsible for leading financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and full regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will also support shareholder engagement, strengthen corporate governance, and ensure proper maintenance of financial and statutory documentation in line with applicable requirements. ## Responsibilities - Develop and manage annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and rolling forecasts - Oversee cash flow planning to ensure operational liquidity and financial stability - Maintain and monitor accounting systems and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance - Oversee preparation of financial statements, management reports, and audit processes - Lead financial planning for maritime and PMSC operations, including vessel costs, security operations, freight revenue, and logistics activities - Coordinate and support shareholder meetings, including preparation of financial reports and presentations - Review, validate, and maintain all financial, corporate, contractual, and statutory documentation - Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, tax requirements, and maritime/PMSC industry standards - Manage banking relationships, treasury functions, and funding arrangements - Provide strategic financial insights and decision support to senior management - Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk management frameworks - Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team ## Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred) - 8–12+ years of senior financial management experience, preferably within maritime, shipping, logistics, and Private Maritime Security Company (PMSC) environments - Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management - Solid understanding of corporate governance, shareholder reporting, and statutory compliance - Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and international trade finance - Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills - Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders ## Key Competencies - Financial planning and cash flow management expertise - High attention to detail and strong documentation control - Strategic thinking and problem-solving - Leadership and team management - Effective stakeholder and shareholder communication ## What we offer - Compensation to be determined based on experience and qualifications
