Founding Frontend Engineer

## About the Role Youth sports run on a messy, informal system; coaches collecting money in personal accounts, juggling group chats, and tracking everything in spreadsheets. It creates real problems: poor organization, lack of transparency, and increasing tax risk (especially with recent 1099-K changes). We're building LeagueLine, a platform that replaces this with: - A compliant, centralized system for team finances - Simple payment flows for parents - Tools to manage teams, communication, and logistics in one place Our goal is to make running a team as easy as using a modern fintech app. ## Current Status - Backend infrastructure is built and functional (APIs, database, core flows) - Early conversations and LOIs with youth sports organizations are in progress We're looking for a founding frontend engineer to take this from working backend → real product. ## What You'll Own You'll lead all frontend development and shape the user experience end-to-end. ### Mobile App (React Native) - Build a fast, simple app for parents and coaches - Payments, messaging, and team interactions - Focus on zero-friction onboarding and usability ### Web Dashboard (React) - Admin dashboard for league directors - Financial visibility, team management, reporting You'll define architecture, make product decisions, and ship quickly. ## Requirements - Strong experience with React and/or React Native - Comfortable owning products from early stage to production - Values simplicity and good UX over complexity - Prefers building and shipping over process-heavy environments - Interested in being an early, high-impact team member ## What We Offer - Equity: 5–7% (based on experience and scope) - Vesting: 4 years with 1-year cliff - No salary at this stage This is a founding role.
