As part of our continued growth, we are establishing a dedicated Marine Medical Services function to enhance our offering across fleets and offshore operations. ## Role Overview The Marine Medical Services Director will be responsible for establishing, managing, and expanding marine medical support services across fleets, offshore assets, and maritime operations globally. This role requires a combination of medical expertise, maritime industry knowledge, and strategic leadership. ## Key Responsibilities ### Strategic & Leadership - Develop and execute the marine medical services strategy aligned with company growth plans - Build and lead a global network of maritime medical providers and partners - Identify opportunities to expand services into new markets and regions - Support business development initiatives and client acquisition ### Operational Management - Oversee delivery of medical support services to vessels and offshore operations - Ensure compliance with international maritime medical regulations and standards (IMO, flag state, etc.) - Develop and implement medical protocols, emergency response procedures, and telemedicine systems - Manage medical logistics, including onboard medical equipment and supplies ### Clinical Governance & Compliance - Ensure adherence to clinical standards, audits, and quality assurance frameworks - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of maritime health regulations and best practices - Lead incident response and medical case management for offshore emergencies ### Stakeholder Management - Liaise with shipowners, operators, insurers, and maritime authorities - Work closely with internal teams (operations, product, crisis response) - Act as a subject matter expert for clients and partners ## Requirements ### Experience - Minimum 8–15+ years in maritime, offshore, or remote medical services - Proven experience in a leadership or director-level role - Background in marine, offshore, emergency, or occupational health - Experience working with shipping companies, offshore operators, or maritime service providers ### Qualifications - Medical degree (MD or equivalent) OR relevant senior healthcare leadership background - Certifications in marine medicine, emergency response, or occupational health preferred - Strong understanding of IMO, SOLAS, and maritime medical compliance frameworks ### Skills - Strategic thinking with strong commercial awareness - Excellent stakeholder and client management skills - Experience with telemedicine and remote healthcare delivery - Strong leadership and team-building capabilities - Native or fluent English speaker ## Preferred - Experience in crisis response / salvage / offshore emergency operations - Exposure to digital health solutions or maritime technology platforms - International experience across multiple maritime regions ## What We Offer - Opportunity to lead a high-impact, global function - Work with innovative maritime and technology-driven teams - Competitive executive compensation package - Career growth aligned with global expansion strategy
