## About the role I'm building ReviewMyCoach, a sports-tech platform bringing transparency to coaching by allowing athletes to review and evaluate coaches—similar to RateMyProfessors, but built for sports. Right now, the platform is live and functional with: - A working website (frontend + backend already built) - An initial database of ~50,000 coaches - Early users and reviews already on the platform - Core product concept validated through real athlete feedback We are currently in the early-stage (pre-revenue) growth phase, with a clear vision to scale into a major platform across all sports (youth, high school, college, and beyond). The long-term goal is to become the standard trust and decision-making layer for athletes choosing coaches, teams, and programs globally. Up to this point, development has been handled by a freelance developer, but I'm now looking to bring on a technical co-founder to take full ownership of the product and engineering as we move into a serious growth and scaling phase. This is not a "build a small feature" role—this is an opportunity to own the entire technical side of a startup from this point forward. ## What Needs to Be Built / Improved - Refactoring and improving the current codebase for scalability - Building a robust backend to support large-scale user growth - Creating systems for review verification and moderation (to prevent fake reviews) - Expanding search, filtering, and coach profile functionality - Implementing scraping/data pipelines to expand the coach database nationwide - Improving UX/UI to drive user engagement and retention - Preparing the platform for monetization (subscriptions, premium features, etc.) ## Why This Is a Big Opportunity - Millions of athletes and parents make decisions about coaches every year with almost zero reliable information - There is currently no dominant platform solving this problem in sports - Strong potential for multiple revenue streams (B2C + B2B + recruiting tools) - Opportunity to build a category-defining company in sports tech ## Who I'm Looking For - A builder who wants to be a true partner, not just an employee - Strong full-stack engineer (React / Next.js / Node.js or similar stack preferred) - Someone who understands how to scale consumer platforms - Bonus if you have experience with scraping, data systems, or marketplaces - Willing to commit long-term and help build this into a real company ## About Me I'm a Division 1 athlete at Bryant University and the founder of ReviewMyCoach. I've taken this from idea → live product, built initial traction, and am now focused on scaling, growth, and fundraising. I'm fully committed to building this into a major company and am looking for the right technical partner to do it with. ## Compensation Equity-based (20–40% depending on experience and fit), with standard vesting.
