## About the Role We're looking for design engineers — people who think in interfaces first and ship in code. You understand design systems at a structural level and can implement them with precision. You're not waiting for someone to hand you a spec. You see a problem, reason through the right UI pattern, and build it. You'll develop internal tools that make the team faster, contribute to production systems, and have real product ownership from day one. You should be as comfortable debating layout hierarchy as you are reasoning about data models and component architecture. ## Responsibilities - Build and maintain design systems and component libraries used across projects - Develop internal tooling (dashboards, content pipelines, automation workflows) that compounds our delivery speed - Contribute to production-level systems — your work ships to real users, not a sandbox - Use AI tools aggressively to accelerate development — we expect you to ship at 3–5x the pace of a traditional workflow - Own product decisions for the surfaces you build — you're not executing tickets, you're solving problems ## Requirements - Design-forward engineering: You have strong visual taste and can produce polished, high-craft interfaces without needing a design file. You understand typography, spacing, color, and layout at an intuitive level. - Systems thinking: You understand how the frontend connects to data, APIs, and infrastructure. You can reason about component architecture, data flow, and basic systems design — not just push pixels. - AI-native workflow: You actively use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, v0) and have opinions about where they accelerate and where they break down. This isn't a nice-to-have — it's how we work. - Comfortable building tooling: You're excited about building tools your own team uses — internal dashboards, workflow automation, developer utilities. You understand the trade-offs between internal and production-grade work. - Proactive ownership: You don't wait to be told what to build. You see a gap, propose a solution, and ship it. You treat every surface you touch as your product. ## Tech Stack - Next.js / React / TypeScript - Tailwind CSS / shadcn/ui - Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Edge Functions) - Vercel (deployment, analytics, edge) - AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, v0) ## Bonus Points - Experience with programmatic SEO or content generation systems - Familiarity with structured data / schema markup / Core Web Vitals optimization - You've built something end-to-end that you can show us
