## About VXM Secure
We're building GuardSuite — the Runtime Governance Layer for Zero Trust. We prevent high-risk actions BEFORE execution through real-time mobile authorization (biometric approval flows), not just post-breach detection. Patent-pending technology targeting federal/critical infrastructure (DoD, NSA, fintech, energy).
Stage: Pre-seed, raising $3M-$5M. Strategic advisor: SYN Ventures.
## The Role
You'll be building the mobile authorization client that enables executives and security teams to approve/deny high-risk actions in real-time with biometric authentication.
## What You'll Own
- iOS and/or Android native apps (Swift/Kotlin, production-grade security, not hybrid/React Native)
- Secure key storage (iOS Secure Enclave, Android Keystore, cryptographic key lifecycle)
- Biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint sensors - seamless UX with high security)
- Mobile signature flows (ECDSA/EdDSA signing, post-quantum crypto integration, HSM communication)
- Push notification security (encrypted payloads, anti-spoofing, tamper detection)
- Low-friction UX (approve in <3 taps, <10 seconds total - balancing security with usability)
## Tech Stack
- Swift (iOS)
- Kotlin (Android)
- Secure Enclave/Keystore
- biometric APIs
- gRPC/REST
- Rust crypto library (backend integration)
## Requirements
### Must-haves
- 3+ years native mobile development (Swift for iOS OR Kotlin for Android, production apps in App Store/Play Store)
- Secure key storage expertise (Secure Enclave, Android Keystore, key generation/rotation/destruction)
- Biometric integration experience (Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint - security-critical implementations)
- Mobile cryptography knowledge (ECDSA/EdDSA signatures, secure key exchange, or willingness to learn PQC)
- Security-first mindset (threat modeling, anti-reverse-engineering, secure coding practices)
- US citizen or permanent resident (required for federal customer work, security clearance eligibility)
### Nice-to-haves
- Both iOS AND Android experience (we need cross-platform, starting with one is fine)
- Mobile security certifications (OWASP Mobile Security, iOS/Android security guides)
- Experience with HSM/hardware security modules
- Built authorization/approval apps (e.g., banking apps, MFA apps, transaction approval)
- Federal contractor background or active security clearance
## Compensation & Why Join
- Equity-heavy now, salary at seed:
- 0.5-1% founding equity (4-year vest, 1-year cliff)
- $0K/year now (equity-focused pre-seed)
- $130-150K salary when we close seed (target Q2 2026)
- Remote-first, quarterly team gatherings
## Why this matters
- Founding role - you'll define mobile security architecture
- Hard mobile security problems (biometrics, key storage, anti-reverse-engineering)
- Federal market (DoD/NSA customers = $500K-$2M ACV per customer)
- Category creation (Runtime Governance is new, first-mover advantage)
- 1% equity in $100M+ exit = $1M+
## Career growth
- Own entire mobile platform (iOS + Android)
- Hire mobile team (2-3 engineers by Year 2)
- Potential VP Mobile or Head of Client Engineering
