## About the role Own end-to-end delivery of customer-facing features across backend, frontend, and cloud. Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into high-quality UX and reliable systems. Build and evolve APIs, data models, and business logic. Develop modern React experiences and improve performance, accessibility, and maintainability. Create and maintain AWS infrastructure (CDK) and CI/CD; contribute to AI-powered features. ## Tech Stack You don't need experience with everything listed, but you should be excited to work across the stack. - Backend: Kotlin (Quarkus) (Java/Spring ok); PostgreSQL (any major RDBMS ok); AWS (any major cloud ok) - Frontend: React (required); Next.js, Mantine, Material UI (nice to have) - Infra & tooling: AWS CDK, CI/CD, GitHub, JIRA ## Qualifications - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (full stack preferred) - Strong Kotlin/Java experience; comfort working across backend, data, and cloud - Track record of shipping production features with ownership and good judgment - Startup mindset: bias to action, comfort with ambiguity, and rapid learning - Clear communicator and collaborative problem-solver ## What We Offer - Competitive compensation package - Supportive, collaborative culture focused on innovation and client success - Work closely with founders and CTO with clear line of sight from code to customer impact - Professional development and growth opportunities - Hands-on experience with AI and agentic systems in production ## Location This is a hybrid role based in our downtown Toronto office. We value in‑person collaboration while supporting flexibility. ## Interview Process We aim to keep the process clear, respectful of your time, and focused on real-world skills. - Introductory Call (15 minutes): A conversation with the CTO to learn more about your background, discuss the role, and assess mutual fit. - Technical Call with Engineering Team (60 Minutes): Talk through a problem set relevant to our business.
