Software Engineer Full Stack

## About DataBrain DataBrain is an AI-powered embedded analytics platform that helps modern software companies ship powerful in-product analytics, dashboards, and reporting in days instead of months. We work with SaaS teams from fast-growing startups to global enterprises, helping them unlock new revenue and improve customer experience with world-class analytics. ## What you'll do - Build and own end-to-end product features across the stack, from React/TypeScript frontend to Python/FastAPI backend. - Implement high-quality, responsive UI for dashboard builders, charting interfaces, embedded widgets, and configuration flows. - Design and evolve backend APIs and data models that power these experiences, working with ClickHouse and other data stores. - Work closely with the founders and the platform team to shape the technical roadmap and translate customer needs into robust product capabilities. - Ensure performant data fetching, caching, and error handling, and continuously improve performance and reliability across the stack. - Maintain a reusable component system and clean API contracts that make it easy to build and iterate quickly. ## What we're looking for - 3-5 years of experience building web applications in a product company. - Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, plus solid experience with a backend language (ideally Python) and REST APIs. - Experience building complex, data-heavy UIs (tables, filters, drag-and-drop, charting, or editors). - Comfort working with databases and basic data modeling; experience with analytical databases like ClickHouse is a plus. - Solid understanding of web performance, debugging, and production best practices (testing, monitoring, logging). - Product mindset and ownership mentality: you care about UX details, edge cases, and shipping features that solve real user problems. ## Nice to have - Hands-on experience with Python/FastAPI in production. - Experience with charting/visualization libraries and analytics or BI products. - Prior startup experience or working closely with designers, founders, and customers. ## How we work - Location: Chennai (preferred), with overlap to IST working hours. - Small, senior team with high ownership and direct collaboration with the founders. - Opportunity to influence architecture, product direction, and early culture while working across the stack.
