## About the Role The Director of EV Infrastructure Deployment is responsible for ensuring that Zapp EV's flagship site can move from concept to reality without hidden risks. This role owns early-stage infrastructure execution across: - site feasibility - utility coordination - permitting pathways - charger siting and layout - deployment readiness This is not a planning role. This is an execution and risk-detection role. ## About Zapp EV Zapp EV is building a new kind of EV charging destination. Our vision is to create premium, high-functioning charging hubs that combine dependable charging infrastructure with a better customer experience, stronger brand presence, and real operational discipline. We are not approaching charging as a parking-lot utility. We are building flagship locations designed to feel intentional, trusted, and commercially viable. Our first flagship site is a high-visibility proof point for the company — designed to support charging, customer experience, partner activation, and long-term expansion. ## Role Objective The Director of EV Infrastructure Deployment is responsible for ensuring that Zapp EV's flagship site can move from concept to reality without hidden risks. This role owns early-stage infrastructure execution across: - site feasibility - utility coordination - permitting pathways - charger siting and layout - deployment readiness This is not a planning role. This is an execution and risk-detection role. ## Hiring Structure ### Phase 1 — Contract - 3 days per week (structured contractor engagement) - Compensation: $5,000–$7,500 per month - Duration: approximately 60–90 days - Focus: feasibility, coordination, and deployment readiness ### Conversion If the role proves high leverage and execution needs continue: - Conversion to full-time may be considered - Expected full-time range: $120,000–$155,000 base ### Conversion Bonus A one-time discretionary conversion bonus may be granted upon transition to full-time based on performance and contribution during the contractor period. ## What You'll Do ### Site Feasibility & Selection - Evaluate potential flagship sites with a practical EV infrastructure lens - Identify early-stage risks related to: - power availability - site constraints - circulation and layout - Provide clear go / no-go recommendations ### Utility & Power Coordination - Engage with utilities to assess: - power availability - interconnection requirements - upgrade timelines - Identify risks that could delay deployment ### Permitting & Deployment Path - Map permitting pathways and identify: - friction points - approval risks - sequencing issues - Ensure realistic timelines based on jurisdiction and site conditions ### Charger Configuration & Layout - Work with design and engineering teams to: - validate charger placement - assess circulation and access - ensure functional site design ### Cross-Team Coordination - Work directly with: - Founder - Partnerships team - design / visualization team - technical / backend team - Ensure alignment between: - concept - design - real-world feasibility ### Early Vendor & Manufacturing Exploration - Initiate conversations with charger manufacturers and vendors - Identify viable partners for: - hardware sourcing - production workflows - Support early-stage manufacturing strategy (Note: this role supports vendor exploration but does not fully own long-term manufacturing strategy.) ### Deployment Readiness - Identify issues that could block or delay go-live - Ensure the site is ready for: - construction - installation - activation ## What We're Looking For - Direct experience in EV charging deployment or similar infrastructure environments - Strong understanding of: - utility coordination - interconnection timelines - permitting / AHJ processes - Ability to identify real-world risks early - Experience working across: - site selection - deployment planning - infrastructure execution - Strong judgment and practical decision-making ability - Comfortable working in a lean, early-stage environment - Able to operate independently without heavy team support ### Strong Bonus Experience - EV charging networks - infrastructure deployment (energy, mobility, telecom, etc.) - charger OEM relationships - site redevelopment projects - working with municipalities / permitting bodies ## What This Role Is Not - Not a generic project manager - Not a junior permitting coordinator - Not a purely construction-focused role without EV context - Not a long-term manufacturing leadership role (at this stage) This is a hands-on infrastructure operator role focused on execution and realism. ## Benefits Upon Full-Time Conversion Upon full-time conversion, this role will be eligible for the company's standard employee benefits package, which may include: - Health, dental, and vision coverage - Paid time off and company holidays - Standard employee benefit programs - Complimentary charging at Zapp EV locations ## Additional Benefits & Perks - Preferred pricing through partner network: - travel / hotels - gyms - restaurants - Transportation support (role-dependent) - Monthly EV charging credit (if applicable prior to flagship opening) - Access to partner programs and memberships (All benefits subject to company policy and availability) ## Growth Opportunity This role has the potential to evolve into: - Head of Infrastructure Delivery / Deployment Leadership as the company scales and additional sites are developed. ## To Apply Please send: - LinkedIn profile or resume - summary of relevant infrastructure / EV deployment experience - examples of sites or projects you've worked on - brief note on how you evaluate EV site feasibility Go to : https://www.zappforall.com/careers
