## About the Role As a Creative Director at Identity Labs, your job will be to coin the ideas that add new colours to "the palette of being" of the 21st century. All our clients have unknowingly built their own stack of paradigm shifting ideas over the course of building billion dollar businesses. Ideas that span tech, culture, business, philosophy, and what have you. Ideas born from first hand, experiential learning. But for every one Paul Graham that has the writing skill to put their ideas to paper, there are a hundred walking around that are every bit as insightful but lack the skill, patience or distribution to give their ideas the correct form. These people are our clients. Alex Bouaziz for example, grew Deel to 1B ARR faster than Stripe and Palantir. All from his living room that too! How could he have possibly done that? A question like this deserves an answer. Your job will be to hone your faculty for perceiving virality and art to mine and synthesize these pattern interrupting ideas, giving them the form required to shape discourse forever. What this looks like: - Be a Podcast Interviewer by engaging some of the best minds in Silicon Valley in the language of thought. - One day, you could be talking to Bryan Johnson about how the real essence of Blueprint as a philosophy is lost on people because they don't believe the diet plan. He tells you that understanding Blueprint ## About the Company ### Our Mission If the 21st Century gets reconfigured by 100 influential ideas (ideas like Don't Die, AI Alignment, Humanoid Robot enabled UBI) Identity labs should be instrumental in popularising 10 of them. ### What we do - We combine science and art to build the audiences of Ultra High-Net-Worth Individuals in a way that tremendously impacts their business through better deal flow, fundraising potential, high-net-worth connections, and access. - Our client base spans the United States, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. We work with Silicon Valley Billionaires, Venture Capital Firms. ### Here's a list of people we have worked with - Bryan Johnson (Former CEO of Venmo/Braintree, now Blueprint) - Chamath Palihapitiya (Grew Facebook from 10M to 1B users, worth >$10B) - Tony Fadell (Built iPod, Nest, worth >$5B) - Alex Bouaziz (Founder of Deel, $1B ARR, $17B valuation) - Grant Lee (Grew Gamma.app to $100M ARR in <2 years with <50 people) - Anton Osika (Founder of Lovable, $200M ARR, $6.6B revenue) - Jonathan Swanson (built Thumbtack to $3B) - Garrett Lord (built Handshake to $4.4B) - Partners at a16z - Partners at Kleiner Perkins We've generated ~ 2 billion views across our client base. As far as we know, our track record is singular. We are deliberately small (<15 people) but extremely fast growing (>1500% YoY) and are a global leader in this $3B market. To the extent that revenue is a proxy for usefulness and impact, we're the single largest content consulting firms by profit yet the smallest in size compared to our peers, generating profits comparable to a 500-person company with just 15 meticulously selected individuals currently. ### How we do it - If you have enough data, understanding, and taste, virality is not luck, it's engineering. - We reverse-engineer how social algorithms such as that of X, work. - Our Virality Framework → Reach = f(retention %, retweet rate, clickthrough rate) - We're the first content company with the approach of a science lab, marrying creative intuition with data-driven precision. Think content science meets art. - We have analyzed >1B views worth of data to find leading indicators of virality (5% clickthrough, 10% audience retention, 4% profile visit rate) while narrowing down on the artistic drivers behind each (solid hook and idea, engaging narrative, writing for emotion) - For eg: we know that 5% clickthrough is a major indicator of a post likely to go viral from the data we have analyzed, but in order to get that 5% clickthrough you need an irresistible idea and a hook that is artistically crafted in a way that makes users can't help but click to read more. - We create art that drives these numbers, and analyse the numbers that in turn refine our art. - We water this symbiotic relationship between art and science daily, modelling our content strategy around patterns in reach and engagement to capture tremendous organic reach in a way that's never been done before. - We dominate Twitter with this approach. We control 500M impressions/year (Twitter has 368M active users). Elon Musk, Paul Graham, and every entrepreneur you look up to has probably commented, liked, or retweeted our content.
