Full-Stack Engineer (Equity-Only Position)

## About the Role We are looking for a seasoned Full-Stack Engineer to join as a core technical team member on an equity-only basis until we close our seed round. You will not be employee number 20. You will be one of the people who builds the thing from scratch, makes real architectural decisions, and has your fingerprints on every layer of the product. This is not a freelance contract. This is a founding-team-adjacent role for someone who wants skin in the game, is energized by ambiguity, and has the maturity to operate without hand-holding. ## What You Will Do - Architect and build full-stack features end-to-end, from database schema to UI - Own entire product surfaces, not just tickets - Build responsive, performant frontends using React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap - Develop and maintain backend services and APIs with Python and FastAPI - Design and manage both SQL and NoSQL database schemas for scale and reliability - Integrate and work with AI/ML components and third-party AI APIs - Make pragmatic technology decisions and defend them - Collaborate directly with the founders and ship at startup speed - Help define engineering culture and standards as the team grows ## What We Are Looking For - 5 or more years of full-stack engineering experience, with a proven track record of shipping production products - Strong proficiency in our stack: React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap on the frontend; Python and FastAPI on the backend; SQL and NoSQL databases for data persistence - Previous experience in a startup environment, ideally 0-to-1 stage - Meaningful exposure to AI/ML integration (LLM APIs, vector databases, inference pipelines, or similar) - A North American degree (USA/Canada) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field; Master's degree strongly preferred - Strong ownership mentality. You notice what needs doing and you do it - Comfortable operating in an early-stage environment where the roadmap evolves and the answers are not always clear - A valid LinkedIn profile ## Compensation This role is equity-only until seed close. Cash compensation will begin immediately upon close of our seed round. Equity will be structured as a milestone-based restricted stock or option grant, negotiated transparently based on your contribution level and the value you bring. If you need a paycheck on day one, this is not the right moment for you, and we respect that.
