The Data Engineering team is uniquely positioned at the intersection of security, big data, and cloud computing. We are responsible for providing near real-time access to global security insights and intelligence data to our customers, enabling them to act in near real-time. In today's AI-driven world, data quality is more critical than ever. We are looking for a seasoned manager to guide the Quality organization through AI-driven workflows to improve the quality of our data products.

## What you will be doing
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 10+ engineers while fostering a culture of collaborative ownership.
- Strategy & Metrics: Define quality strategies and technical standards, creating measurable paths to achieve them while establishing KPIs to enhance product reliability.
- Technical Guidance: Provide leadership to team members in designing automation frameworks and comprehensive testing strategies.
- Systems Integrity: Measure and establish data integrity, system performance, and reliability in the face of failures.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Engineering, Product, and Program Management throughout the development lifecycle to integrate quality into the core architecture.
- Operational Support: Support production software deployments and lead root-cause analysis for customer escalations.
- Advocacy: Build trust through partnerships and act as a passionate advocate for quality and customer success.
## Required skills and experience
- 4+ years of people management experience leading geographically distributed teams of over 10+ members.
- A proven track record of developing automation frameworks, testing strategies, and applying modern tools and practices.
- Deep experience with data systems including Postgres, Clickhouse, Trino, Spark, Iceberg, Kinesis, Kafka, and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong familiarity with AI-driven tools and experience onboarding modern workflows to improve quality and productivity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate quality objectives and their importance to customer success.
- Prior hands-on experience as an individual contributor (IC) at a Lead/Staff-level or higher is preferred.
## Education
- BSCS or equivalent required
- MSCS or equivalent strongly preferred
