Qa Testing Automation Engineer

## About the role We're building X-Streamify, a personal media vault that gives families full ownership and control of their movies, photos, and digital content. We're looking for a QA / Testing & Automation Engineer who wants to build something meaningful from the ground up and take part in a fast-moving startup environment. This role offers the opportunity to help ensure the reliability, stability, and quality of our platform as we scale. This is an early-stage startup where team members take ownership, move quickly, and help shape the product from the beginning. ## Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs - Perform functional, regression, and performance testing across the platform - Identify bugs, document issues, and work closely with developers to resolve them - Help establish testing standards, workflows, and quality processes from the ground up - Validate new features before release to ensure reliability and stability - Collaborate closely with frontend, backend, and DevOps teams - Help improve product performance, usability, and system reliability ## What we're looking for - Strong experience in QA testing and test automation - Experience with automated testing tools such as: - Selenium - Cypress - Playwright - or similar tools - Understanding of: - Web applications - APIs - System workflows - Bug tracking and reporting - Ability to work independently in a startup environment - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Startup mindset — ownership, speed, and accountability ## Bonus experience (nice to have) - Experience testing cloud-based applications (AWS preferred) - Experience with performance testing - Experience working in startup environments - Experience with CI/CD pipelines - Experience testing media, storage, or file-based systems ## Compensation This is an early-stage startup role offering equity-only compensation at this time.
