DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

## About the role We're building X-Streamify, a personal media vault that gives families full ownership and control of their movies, photos, and digital content. We're looking for a Backend Engineer who wants to build something meaningful from the ground up and take part in a fast-moving startup environment. This role offers the opportunity to design and build the core systems that power our platform, including storage, APIs, authentication, and performance. This is an early-stage startup where team members take ownership, move quickly, and help shape the product from the beginning. ## Responsibilities - Design and build secure, scalable backend services and APIs - Develop and maintain server-side logic and system integrations - Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS, storage, authentication, media handling) - Optimize system performance, reliability, and data security - Build and maintain APIs used by frontend and mobile applications - Debug issues and resolve production problems - Collaborate closely with frontend, QA, and DevOps teams - Help shape the technical direction and architecture of the platform ## What we're looking for - Strong backend development experience - Experience building APIs and backend services - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) - Understanding of system design, scalability, and performance - Experience working with databases and data storage - Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues - Ability to work independently in a startup environment - Startup mindset — ownership, speed, and problem solving ## Preferred technologies (not required) - Node.js - REST APIs - MongoDB or similar databases - AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda, etc.) - Authentication and security systems - File storage and media handling ## Bonus experience (nice to have) - Experience working in startup environments - Experience building scalable systems - Experience with large file uploads or storage systems - Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment - Experience collaborating with remote teams ## What we offer This is an early-stage startup role offering equity-only compensation at this time.
