Responsibilities
Produce and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information for Optimum Gestion de Placements inc.; Manage budget planning and tracking processes and analyze variances; Ensure cash flow, billing, and accounts receivable tracking; Prepare audit files and manage relationships with external auditors; Validate operational controls for risk management and ensure internal policy application; Validate and analyze fund financial information and prepare semi-annual and annual financial statements; Manage fund audit processes and lead relationships with auditors; Prepare fee re-allocation analyses and manage fund-related taxation (tax distribution by province, T3 slips, quarterly and annual distributions, tax optimization); Participate in the setup of new investment funds; Prepare government remittances (TPS/TVQ, taxes) and ensure tax filing follow-up; Monitor new fiscal and accounting rules and their impact on operations; Liaise with tax authorities (federal and provincial) and respond to the Group Optimum tax department's requests; Follow tax obligations of Canadian, American, and European subsidiaries under your scope; Recommend and implement IT projects or process improvements to increase accounting service efficiency; Participate in special corporate projects to support organizational growth.
