Data Analyst Applied Lab For Nonprofit

## About the Role Living Stones Foundation is building an innovation-driven Applied Lab focused on using data, AI, and digital transformation to strengthen nonprofits and underserved communities across Latin America, the U.S., and Canada. We are looking for Data Analysts (Volunteer – Remote, Unpaid) who want to apply their technical skills to real-world social challenges while collaborating with an international, high-performing volunteer team. If you are passionate about analytics, impact measurement, and innovation — this is for you. ## Responsibilities You will help design and implement data-driven systems that improve decision-making, scalability, and measurable impact. ### Data Architecture & Structuring - Clean, organize, and structure multi-source datasets - Design scalable data workflows - Ensure data integrity and documentation standards ### Analytics & Insight Generation - Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) - Identify trends and performance indicators - Develop models to measure program effectiveness - Translate data into actionable strategic insights ### Dashboards & Reporting - Build executive-level dashboards - Create impact and performance reports - Support real-time monitoring systems ### Impact & Evaluation - Develop KPIs aligned with social innovation goals - Support monitoring & evaluation frameworks - Strengthen evidence-based decision-making ### Cross-Functional Innovation - Collaborate with AI specialists, developers, program managers, and marketing teams - Contribute data insights to grant proposals and institutional reporting - Support experimentation with AI and predictive analytics (when applicable) ## Requirements ### Background - Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative fields - Experience in analytics projects (academic or professional) - Interest in social impact, nonprofit innovation, or international development ### Technical Skills - Python or R - SQL & relational databases - Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) - Advanced Excel - Understanding of data cleaning, validation, and transformation - Basic ML knowledge (a plus, not required) ### Languages - Advanced Spanish (required) - Advanced English (required) ### Availability - 8–12 hours per week - Fully remote - Volunteer (unpaid) ## What We Offer - Work on real-world, high-impact analytics projects - Collaborate with 70+ professionals and graduate students from top U.S. and Canadian universities - Gain applied experience in AI-driven social innovation - Build international exposure and cross-sector experience - Expand your professional network - Receive certificate of participation and international recognition ## Who This Role Is Ideal For - Graduate students in data-related fields - Early-career analysts seeking applied impact experience - Professionals wanting to contribute skills to meaningful initiatives - Technologists exploring social innovation and AI for good
