## About the Role We're looking for a hands-on Lead Full-Stack Developer to join a scale-up fitness startup based in London. They have an exciting tech product to revolutionise how fitness and recovery spaces are managed end-to-end, from dynamic bookings to matching members with personal trainers and providing insights. As a Tech Lead, you will be in charge of an exciting product roadmap across platforms (app, web app) and using the latest technology stack. ## What You'll Do - Directly report to the CEO and the CPO. - Architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend (Node.js) and frontend (Next.js) systems. - Implement the following features in our user app (React Native, Expo) - Own AWS infrastructure, deployments, and performance optimisations. - Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver high-quality features. - Work with our external development teams, guiding them and pairing with them. - Ensure best practices in coding, security, and DevOps (CI/CD, Vercel). - Drive technical roadmaps and align engineering efforts with business goals. ## What We're Looking For - 8+ years of experience in full-stack development (Node.js, Next.js). - 3+ years in a leadership role, managing engineering teams. - Use of AI coding copilot (Claude, Copilot) - Strong AWS expertise (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.). - Have used Expo and ReactNative for mobile apps. - Hands-on coding skills—you'll still write and review code. - Experience with Vercel, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices. - Passion for fitness/health tech is a plus! ## Nice to Have - Experience scaling startups or high-growth environments. - Knowledge of real-time data processing or IoT integrations. - Have used Supabase. - Have previously set up automated tests with tools such as Cypress. ## Terms and Benefits - Location: London (hybrid/onsite). - Start Date: 1st March 2025. - Engagement: Full-time, Permanent - Salary: £80,000+ - Stock option eligibility - 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays, increasing with service) - Pension scheme - Travel: costs covered between sites, and we can cover an electricbike membership
