## About the Role Build the "engine" that makes MoodMe invisible, fast, and stable everywhere. As the Lead SDK Engineer, you are responsible for the "guts" of MoodMe. You will architect the unified core that allows our AI to run on any device with a camera. More here: https://www.mood-me.com ## Focus Infrastructure, Performance, and Cross-Platform Architecture. ## Responsibilities - Unified Core Architecture: Design and maintain the shared logic (C++/WASM/Rust) that powers our Web, Mobile, and Game Engine offerings. - Platform Bindings: Build idiomatic wrappers for iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin), Web (TS), and Game Engines (C#/C++) to ensure our tech feels "native" to every developer. - Performance Engineering: Lead the charge on GPU acceleration (Metal/Vulkan/WebGL) and threading models to ensure real-time tracking doesn't compromise the host app's performance. - CI/CD for Libraries: Build the automated pipelines that test and deploy our SDKs across all 5 platforms simultaneously. ## Requirements - A "Low-Level" enthusiast who loves memory management and optimization. - Extensive experience shipping public-facing libraries or SDKs. - Deep knowledge of how compilers and hardware-accelerated AI (CoreML/NNAPI) actually work. ## Nice to Have - Ability to commit a minimum of 24 hours per week (full-time preferred). ## What We Offer - Equity-only (Founder package) + Commission (based on revenue impact). - A stake in our vision with long-term rewards. - The opportunity to make a significant impact on the tech landscape. ## Interview Process - **Submit Application**: Candidates apply through Wellfound. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. - **Application Review**: We look for relevant technical experience, strong problem-solving ability, clear communication, and alignment with our product, stage, and ways of working. - **Initial Screen (30 minutes)**: A short conversation to confirm role alignment, experience, and motivation, share company context and expectations, and answer high-level questions about the role, process, and compensation. - **Technical Interview (45–60 minutes)**: A technical conversation focused on depth, engineering judgment, system design thinking, and collaboration style. We focus on how candidates think and communicate — not trivia or puzzles. - **Take-Home Assignment**: Candidates who advance will complete a short take-home assignment designed to reflect real work in the role. It is clearly scoped and time-boxed (typically 3–4 hours) and reviewed asynchronously. - **Follow-Up Interview (Optional, 30–45 minutes)**: In some cases, a follow-up conversation may be scheduled to review the take-home assignment together, go deeper on technical tradeoffs, and address any remaining questions. - **Decision and Offer**: Following the final step, we aim to make a decision quickly. Feedback is consolidated internally, and offers are extended verbally first, followed by a written offer. We strive to close the loop with all candidates promptly.
