You'll lead engineering decisions across the mobile client and the services that power it. ## Job Overview We're seeking a Staff-Level Full Stack Engineer who is mobile-first. This role is frontend-led, the mobile experience is the product and you will own it, but you'll also build and extend the backend services needed to ship complete features. You'll work across mobile UI, API integration, and core service logic, partnering closely with AI engineers to bring intelligent workflows into the hands of users. Experience with LLM integrations, conversational interfaces, or agentic workflows is a major plus. Many of our upcoming projects bring AI directly into the mobile UI through dynamic, interactive experiences. ## Key Responsibilities - Own the mobile experience end-to-end: UI architecture, screens, navigation, state management, and performance. - Build polished, responsive UIs with excellent UX: animations, gestures, accessibility, and pixel-level fit and finish. - Ship production features in React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin, including offline-first behavior and unreliable-network resilience. - Design and implement backend APIs and service logic that power mobile features (REST/GraphQL), including auth, data access, and business workflows. - Build integrations and real-time features where needed (WebSockets, streaming, background jobs). - Embed AI-driven experiences (chat, copilots, summarization, recommendation, multimodal) into the app, with appropriate orchestration and guardrails. - Maintain quality across testing, observability, security, and CI/CD for both mobile and backend. - Lead technical direction, code reviews, and pragmatic architecture decisions. - Mentor teammates while continuing to deepen your own technical expertise. ## Required Qualifications - 5+ years shipping production software, with significant ownership of mobile frontend plus meaningful backend contributions. - Strong command of React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android frameworks. - Proven ability to deliver polished, responsive mobile apps with strong attention to design, usability, and performance. - Experience building backend services and APIs using Python, Node.js, or Java, including database-backed applications. - Deep understanding of RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, auth patterns, and asynchronous data flows. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern deployment workflows. - Familiarity with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and release processes for mobile and services. - Independent, reliable, and comfortable owning complex technical outcomes. ## Bonus Points - Experience integrating AI/LLMs or vector-based retrieval into end-user workflows. - Familiarity with voice, chat, or multimodal interfaces. - Background in real-time systems (WebSockets, Kafka) or streaming architectures. - A strong design eye or experience building design systems with UX teams. ## What We're Really Looking For We want a mobile-first full stack builder, someone who loves crafting elegant mobile experiences and is also comfortable building the services behind them.
