Full Stack Engineer

## About the Role As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll build end-to-end features that power Rivet, working closely with product and design. You'll move comfortably across the stack while leveling up our platform to support a rapidly growing ecosystem of users, teams, and fans. You'll help scale our architecture and design, make pragmatic trade-offs that balance speed with long-term maintainability, and bring clarity to ambiguous requirements by weighing product and business needs to make technical decisions. You'll talk to customers, triage and resolve issues, and turn real-world feedback into product improvements. As an early member of the engineering team, you'll also help define how we work: establishing standards, shaping our culture, and building the operational rhythms that let a small team deliver outsized impact. ## Responsibilities - Build end-to-end features that power Rivet, working closely with product and design. - Move comfortably across the stack while leveling up our platform to support a rapidly growing ecosystem of users, teams, and fans. - Help scale our architecture and design. - Make pragmatic trade-offs that balance speed with long-term maintainability. - Bring clarity to ambiguous requirements by weighing product and business needs to make technical decisions. - Talk to customers, triage and resolve issues, and turn real-world feedback into product improvements. - Help define how we work: establishing standards, shaping our culture, and building the operational rhythms that let a small team deliver outsized impact. ## Key Qualifications - Full-stack experience in TypeScript. You've architected, built, and maintained production web apps and services using TypeScript. - Deep React + UI/UX experience. You can translate our UX needs into polished, accessible interfaces and reusable components using React. - Relational database proficiency. Comfortable modeling data, writing efficient queries, and optimizing performance in relational databases such as PostgreSQL. - Scaling real systems. Experience designing for high throughput, data growth, and reliability (caching, rate limiting, queues, observability, testing). - Systems & application architecture. Ability to design and communicate clear, evolvable end-to-end architectures. - Cloud-native experience (AWS preferred). You've shipped and operated services in the cloud and understand the trade-offs behind managed offerings. ## Nice to Haves - Prior development experience integrating: - Marketing email providers (e.g., SendGrid) - Marketing SMS/messaging (e.g., Twilio, WhatsApp) - Social integrations/ads platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok) - Music services (Spotify, Ticketmaster, Bandcamp, etc.) - Passion for music and creative communities ## Our Culture We're an ambitious and driven team and we're searching for more like-minded individuals to join us.
