Execute and deliver locomotive products meeting cost, quality, and schedule; consolidate product and program requirements with stakeholders; flow down requirements into system functional specifications; develop platforming approach and standardization; track engineering team performance against budget; interface with Program Management Office and Supply Chain to develop integrated schedules; define Bill of Materials structure and track drawing release plans; run core team meetings to ensure on-time execution; communicate project status, risks, and technical solutions to stakeholders; identify and execute detailed validation requirements; support prototype build and manage product changes till customer acceptance; lead engineering validation, customer demonstration tests, trials on customer track, and commissioning; document technical data per engineering policies; mentor engineers to meet platforming and standardization requirements
