Senior Golang Backend Engineer

## About the role We're building the next generation of language learning — helping millions of users speak confidently through real-time AI and speech technology. We're looking for a Senior Golang Backend Engineer to make our product faster, more reliable, and more intelligent. ## Responsibilities - Stabilize and scale core backend systems (speech, lessons, subscriptions, user state) - Eliminate race conditions, flaky behavior, and "random" bugs - Design how speech and learner data is stored to power personalized feedback - Build internal tools for content and lesson ingestion - Improve observability, testing, and rollout safety - Enable fast experimentation for product and growth teams ## Requirements - 7+ years of backend experience - Strong Golang (or similar systems language) - Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and real-time or event-driven architectures - Comfortable with Postgres/NoSQL, queues, caching, and cloud infrastructure - AI-native mindset — you use tools like ChatGPT/Copilot to move faster and build better systems ## What we offer - Your work will directly impact: - Speech accuracy and reliability - Learning outcomes and retention - Experimentation and revenue growth ## What to include - Examples of past Go projects - GitHub or portfolio links - Availability and hourly rate
