Software Engineer (Backend) — 0.01% Equity (Performance-Based)

## About the Role RoleColorFinder™ is a fast-growing leadership development and personality-mapping platform helping organizations, schools, and teams understand how people naturally lead. We're building modern tools that combine psychology, software, and AI to help companies grow adaptable, values-driven leaders. We're looking for Backend Software Engineers who can ship quickly, write clean logic, and help power the systems behind our Slack app, SSO, assessment engine, and internal automation tools. You'll work closely with frontend and AI engineers to take features from idea to production. This is an unpaid, part-time, equity-only role at this stage. ## Responsibilities - Develop Slack bot backend features: event handlers, workflows, and modals - Implement SSO integrations (Google, Microsoft, Okta) - Design and maintain Postgres/Supabase schemas, RLS policies, and triggers - Build core API routes and backend business logic - Implement the scoring and analytics engine behind assessments - Collaborate with frontend and AI teams to connect systems end to end ## Requirements - Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or Python - Solid understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture - Bonus: Slack API, OAuth, Supabase, SQL - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment ## Commitment - Full-time contribution (remote-friendly) - High ownership over core systems and features ## Compensation - 0.01% equity vesting over 6 months - Performance-based upside to 0.02–0.05% - Opportunity for rapid growth in responsibility and scope ## Note Hours are flexible and this role is part-time in practice, even though Wellfound requires us to list it as "Full-Time."
