JR/Mid Full Stack Engineer (Backend & AI Systems Focus)

## About the Role We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong backend experience and an interest in AI-powered systems. You'll help us maintain and improve our core product — fixing bugs, refining data pipelines, optimizing APIs, and ensuring our AI features stay stable and performant. We move fast, but we care deeply about reliability. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving practical problems, keeping systems healthy, and closing tickets that make users (and teammates) happy. ## Responsibilities - Maintain and improve existing backend services (Node.js, REST APIs, WebSockets) - Debug, fix, and optimize issues across the stack: from database to frontend - Ensure reliability and performance of integrations with AI workflows (OpenAI APIs, vector stores, etc.) - Contribute to and maintain the customer dashboard (Next.js + React) - Collaborate with the CTO and engineering team to close tickets opened by customers efficiently - Support development of new features as the product evolves ## Requirements ### Core Tech Stack - Node.js (Express.js or similar frameworks) - REST APIs and WebSockets - Postgres / Supabase - Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS - Git / GitHub workflows ## Nice to Have - Experience with or curiosity about AI systems (OpenAI APIs, RAG pipelines, vector databases) - Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines - Experience with performance monitoring and logging tools ## Soft Skills - Strong debugging and problem-solving mindset - Pragmatic and detail-oriented: you care about finishing and maintaining things - Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment - Self-disciplined for remote work and willing to join periodic in-person meetups ## Location Must be able to attend in-person meetups every 6–8 weeks in Northern Italy. ## What We Offer - Real ownership in maintaining and improving a growing AI product - A flexible, remote-first work setup - Exposure to cutting-edge AI systems - A friendly, motivated team that values clarity, autonomy, and quality ## About the Company We move fast, but we care deeply about reliability.
