Full Stack Tech Lead

## About the role This role is based in Perth, WA. We design and scale a cloud-native platform used by global customers to manage complex, real-time field operations. We are a high-performing, execution-focused team building a category-defining SaaS platform from Perth to the world. ## The Opportunity We are seeking a hands-on Tech Lead to guide a team of up to six engineers while driving architectural direction across our SaaS platform. You will set technical standards, shape system design, and ensure we build for scale, reliability, and long-term maintainability. This role is for a Senior Engineer who thrives on leadership and ownership, but still enjoys writing high-quality production code. You will influence both what we build and how we build it. ## What You Will Do - Lead the design and delivery of high-performance product features - Own backend architecture, APIs, and data modelling decisions - Set and uphold engineering standards across code, tooling, and pipelines - Mentor and grow engineers, building capability and accountability - Partner closely with product and design to align technical direction with business goals - Contribute hands-on to complex technical work You will be accountable for technical quality, not just delivery speed. ## What You Will Bring - 5+ years of professional software development experience - 2+ years leading projects or small engineering teams - Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python - Deep experience designing APIs and scalable backend systems - Experience working with relational databases at scale (PostgreSQL or MySQL) - Background in B2B SaaS product environments - Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices - Proven ability to balance hands-on coding with technical leadership - Strong communication skills, able to translate technical decisions into business impact ## Our Tech Stack Backend: NestJS (Node.js), Django (Python), TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind Mobile: React Native ## Key Engineering Projects - Scaling our SaaS architecture to support global growth - Designing high-performance API
