## About the role We're looking for a Backend-focused technical co-founder to design, build, and own the KudiPouch® API and core wallet infrastructure. ## About KudiPouch® KudiPouch® is a fintech product built to help people control how they spend money by locking funds for their intended purpose. Individuals and merchants can participate in digital Ajo/Esusu savings circles; Payments happen only within a trusted vendor network — no impulse spending, no misuse. We're building for real people, starting in Africa. ## Responsibilities - Architect and build secure wallet & transaction systems - Design scalable REST or FAST APIs - Implement OTP, identity verification & authentication flows - Build real-time wallet transfers and QR payment logic - Manage vendor settlement workflows - Ensure system security, reliability, and performance ## Preferred Tech Stack - NestJS (TypeScript) or Python (FastAPI / Django) - PostgreSQL / MySQL - Redis / background jobs - Payment & banking integrations - Cloud infrastructure (DigitalOcean / AWS / Azure) ## What We're Looking For - Must be PASSIONATE About AI TOOLS - Strong backend engineering experience - Experience with fintech or payment systems is a plus - Product mindset and long-term thinking - Willingness to co-own decisions, risks, and rewards This is a co-founder role with meaningful equity.
