## About the Role As a key member of our founding team, you will be one of our most pivotal engineering hires. This role is about building our core developer platform and owning its success. You will collaborate closely with the founders and the founding engineer to architect the platform, make foundational technical decisions, and write the code that will empower a new generation of agent-driven commerce. ## Responsibilities - Build the Core: Design, build, and scale the essential backend services that power our platform's capabilities for AI agents. - Collaborate on Architecture: Work with the team to define our technical roadmap and make foundational decisions about our systems and infrastructure. - Ship Production-Ready Code: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that will serve as the bedrock of our platform for years to come. - Ensure Security & Reliability: Implement and uphold the rigorous security and reliability standards required for a financial technology platform. - Own Your Work: Take complete ownership of features and systems, from the initial design phase through deployment, monitoring, and iteration. ## Requirements - A Proven Builder that moves fast: You have a strong track record of building, shipping, and maintaining complex backend systems and you operate with a profound sense of purpose and speed. - Technical Proficiency: You are highly proficient in NodeJS or Python and have a solid understanding of modern cloud architecture. And you have practical experience with both relational and NoSQL databases and understand their distinct advantages. - A Passion for Craft: You care deeply about your work. This may be demonstrated through ambitious personal projects, open-source contributions, or the quality of your past professional work. - A Collaborative Mindset: You are an excellent communicator who thrives in a small team environment, able to give and receive feedback constructively. We value direct, unfiltered feedback.
