Contract Full-Stack Engineer (Remote, Gig-Based)

## About the Role We're looking for skilled full-stack engineers who enjoy taking up short, high-impact gigs and building real product features that users touch every day. At Connectnext, we're building a modern, cloud-native customer experience platform. As a contract engineer, you'll work fully remote, collaborate directly with the founder, and take ownership of meaningful features across backend and frontend. ## Who This Is For - Full-stack engineers with 2+ years of SaaS experience - Engineers who prefer contract / gig work over full-time roles - Builders comfortable working in early-stage startup environments - People who enjoy end-to-end ownership rather than narrow tickets ## What You'll Do - Build user-facing product features end to end - Work closely with the founder on architecture and design decisions - Write clean, well-tested, production-ready code - Participate in deployments, monitoring, and rapid iteration - Ship features that go live and get used immediately ## Why Work With Us - 100% remote - Short-term, clearly scoped contract work - Direct collaboration with the founder (no layers) - Real product ownership—not maintenance work - Opportunity for repeat engagements as the product grows ## Required Skills & Experience You should have hands-on experience in most of the following technologies: ### Backend & Infrastructure - Strong Python fundamentals - FastAPI, Pytest - Redis, MySQL - REST APIs - Docker, CI/CD - Experience in cloud hosted applications (AWS/GCP/Azure) ### Frontend - JavaScript, HTML, CSS - React with Next.js - Modern UI frameworks (Tailwind / Bootstrap) ## Nice to Have - Kafka or RabbitMQ - Kubernetes - Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, New Relic) - Exposure to AI / ML-powered features
