We are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data team in Gothenburg Do you have experience building robust data platforms and pipelines that truly make a difference? Then you might be exactly who we are looking for. As a Senior Data Engineer at Mpya Sci & Tech, you will work with some of Gothenburg’s most exciting tech companies and organizations. Since we collaborate with clients of different sizes, across different industries and application areas, your preferences and skills will help shape your future assignments. We offer a role where you get to use your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, while having the freedom to influence both your assignments and your direction. ## Responsibilities - Design and implement scalable data architectures and ETL/ELT pipelines - Build and orchestrate reliable data workflows using modern tools for cloud data platforms, streaming and real-time analytic - Take an active part in data quality, governance and security – making data trustworthy and AI-ready - Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, developers and other specialists to create value from data - Depending on the assignment, contribute to machine learning and AI initiatives – from feature pipelines and MLOps to bringing models into production ## Requirements - Several years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role - Strong skills in Python, SQL and distributed data processing such as Spark/PySpark - Solid experience with modern cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP, and platforms like Databricks, Snowflake or Microsoft Fabric - Experience with orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow or dbt, and an engineering mindset including CI/CD, testing and infrastructure as code - Experience with containerization and deploying applications in Kubernetes - The ability to take the lead in technical decisions and a strong interest in staying up to date within the field - A prestigeless attitude, great commitment and a willingness to contribute to a good team spirit - Fluent English, spoken and written – Swedish is a plus ## Nice to Have - Curiosity about – or hands-on experience in – Data Science, Machine Learning or Generative AI ## Benefits We believe that real talent lies in individuals who dare to keep growing throughout their entire lives.
