Senior Software CM & DevOps Engineer

The role sits in an environment where software development, integration, packaging, and release quality all need to work together smoothly across a large organization. Here, you will help shape the development infrastructure that enables teams to build, test, integrate, and release software in a structured and reliable way. You will work in a setup based on Visual Studio and Azure DevOps, with a strong focus on build management, automation, system integration, and sustainable ways of working. You will collaborate with software architects, process owners, program managers, and release managers, giving you a broad view of both day-to-day development and cross-functional product release work. This is a strong opportunity for you if you enjoy improving engineering foundations and making a real impact on development quality and efficiency. ## Responsibilities - Develop and support software configuration management and DevOps practices across the development environment. - Work with software system integration, product packaging, and build management for controller software. - Maintain and improve development infrastructure and build pipelines. - Contribute to automation that strengthens quality, repeatability, and development efficiency. - Collaborate closely with architects, release managers, and development teams to support smooth integration and release flows. - Support agile software development as well as cross-functional product release activities. - Help establish structured and sustainable ways of working within the software organization. ## Requirements - Strong experience in Software Configuration Management (CM) and DevOps engineering. - Experience working in Visual Studio and Azure DevOps environments. - Hands-on knowledge of build pipelines, Git branching strategies, MSBuild, and automated testing frameworks such as Google Test. - Experience with software system integration and release management. - Understanding of agile development methodologies. - A structured, analytical, and detail-oriented way of working. - Strong ability to collaborate with both technical and cross-functional stakeholders. - Fluent English, written and spoken. ## Nice to Have - Experience working with SAFe. - A pragmatic and hands-on approach to improving development environments and engineering workflows. ## Benefits - Permanent employment at Avaron AB - Occupational pension - Wellness allowance of SEK 5,000 per year Application Selections are made on an ongoing basis – apply as soon as you can.
