Sr Devops Engineer

## About the Role Infrastructure Management: Servers, Storage, Networking resources Deploying, maintaining servers, storage, & networking resources System administration functions, system configuration management Release Engineering: Building and deploying application code, services Setup and maintain release, deployment tools, such as Jenkins, Containers, Nexus etc. CI/CD tools, pipelines for Continuous Delivery/Deployment Containerisation and use of the same in deployment Security: Systems security Ensuring that systems are safe & secure against cybersecurity threats Cloud Computing: Cloud computing and AWS Cloud Maintaining and managing observability tools to ensure high availability of could infrastructure Use of tools to setup and maintain alerting and tracking of issues proactively Process Improvements: Continuous Improvement Automation and continuous improvement of development to deployment Keeping abreast of new technologies and best practices and incorporating the same ## Abilities - Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role - Comfortable working on multiple projects in multiple releases. - Linux fundamentals, System Administration - Good knowledge of scripting in shell, Python or similar - Knowledge of Terraform - Working knowledge of Networking setup and resources - Working knowledge of storage solutions, configurations in AWS Cloud - Release, deployment tools, such as Jenkins, Containers, Nexus etc. - Proficiency in CI/CD with GIT and GITHub workflows - Working knowledge of databases and SQL - Cloud computing and AWS Cloud Proficiency - Proficiency in use of observability and monitoring tools like elastic, Cloudwatch etc. - AWS Certifications a plus - Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design app. - Problem solving attitude ## Education Qualifications - Bachelor's in Engineering ## Experience - At least 4 years experience in DevOps role using AWS Cloud. ## What We Offer - Gluon has a strong engineering culture backed by successful entrepreneurs and engineers with experience in successful startups. - A culture that encourages ideation, design thinking and innovation. - A culture that promotes use of latest technologies, tools and methodologies. - Opportunity to work on end-to-end product lifecycle.
