Postdoctoral Fellow or Staff Scientist
Seeking a highly motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, and hardworking Senior Postdoctoral Fellow or Staff Scientist to work in a laboratory based at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, and member of the Dana Farber Harvard Cancer Center. The candidate should hold a PhD and must have strong background and experience in hematopoiesis, cell and molecular biology, and biochemistry. The research is focused on signaling, metabolic and epigenetic mechanisms driving hematopoietic cell differentiation in response to systemic inflammatory stimuli and their impact on innate cell fate commitment. Required education and experience:
Education: PhD in Biological Sciences and Immunology
Experience: The candidate should have a minimum of three years of relevant research experience and publication record in the field.
Required expertise:
• Tissue culture (cell lines and primary cells)
• Molecular Biology (PCR, cloning, CRSPR, RNA and DNA isolation, cell transfections etc.)
• Method of hematopoietic cell culture and differentiation (cell isolation, CFU assays, immunophenotyping and flow cytometry, etc.)
• Biochemistry (protein chemistry, immunoprecipitation, western blot, etc.)
• Metabolomics and bioenergetics (metabolite extraction and preparation for mass spectrometry, metabolite quantification by biochemical methods, cell bioenergetics by Seahorse EFA)
• Proficiency in the operation of standard lab equipment and computer hardware and software
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
