Senior Backend Engineer

## About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background working in a complex domain, and will have a proven track record of success. This role requires a deep understanding of backend technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. ## Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain internal platform services and APIs to support various product features and business requirements. - Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure smooth integration of backend services with user-facing applications. - Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure integrations with third-party systems and APIs to enable seamless data exchange and functionality. - Identify opportunities for performance optimization, scalability improvements, and system enhancements within the integration and platform infrastructure. - Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability and availability of integration services and platform components. - Experience with HL7/FHIR is a huge plus. ## Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Proven experience (6+ years) in backend development with expertise in building integrations and platform services - Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, MongoDB, SQL, noSQL, AWS (or other cloud providers like GCP or Azure) - Strong problem solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an agile environment - Experience in Microservices - Experience working in a complex domain, ideally U.S. Healthcare - English fluency required
