Data Engineer Consultant

We are currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer Consultant to join a forward-thinking cross-functional team delivering innovative data solutions within the Defence domain.

About the Role
As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data products supporting critical business and operational needs. You will work closely with a highly skilled agile team focused on delivering advanced data solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Design and build robust ETL pipelines
Develop scalable data products and architectures
Work with modern Lakehouse and Medallion architectures
Ensure data quality, testing, and reliability
Collaborate within agile cross-functional teams
Contribute to cloud-based data platform solutions

Required Skills & Experience
BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
Strong proficiency in Python
Experience with data modeling
Hands-on experience with PySpark and ETL development
Experience with Databricks or similar data platforms
Knowledge of Delta Tables, Parquet files, and S3 architecture
Experience with Apache Airflow
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with data quality frameworks and testing
Comfortable working in agile environments
