Supervise day-to-day operations of the Histology Department, ensure laboratory tests are accurately performed and results reported timely, directly supervise and mentor laboratory personnel, monitor daily workflow and schedule assay coverage, ensure adequate staffing across all shifts, research and resolve production errors, maintain equipment through Quality Control, prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records, evaluate new process improvements, provide coaching and feedback to direct reports, perform bench work as needed, ensure compliance with state and Federal regulations, administer and manage policies and procedures, process payroll and personnel files
