Responsibilities
Execute assigned clinical laboratory tests accurately and on time; Prepare workstations and instrumentation for assigned tests; Handle samples and independently resolve technical issues related to sample analysis and storage; Use instruments to run tests according to established written procedures; Perform routine tests and calculations as needed; Resolve routine and unusual test issues; Ensure result validity by executing established quality assurance and quality control procedures; Conduct experiments according to schedule for new lot calibration and/or QC evaluation; Document quality control results and interpret them per Westgard rules or other established service procedures; Document corrective actions for unusual occurrences; Ensure instrument and equipment maintenance is performed per manufacturer requirements and SOPs; Understand service metrics and objectives.
